Noticed something (maybe?) particularly scummy this morning on Amazon - noticed that they had a restock (I already have a PS5 but have a few friends who are after one). for some it's the most f.ked up launch in PS history. The consoles they received went straight to fulfilling the preorders, and what was left was not put for sale, instead was reserved for the store's employees and whoever they knew and wanted to buy a PS5 (yeah, that's actually a thing, confirmed by many). So we weren't even given the chance to catch one, it was out of stock everywhere before 19th even began, and after. In Europe, in my country, on the 2 biggest stores websites (that also had a few consoles in September for Preorders) : one passed both PS5 consoles on their respective Playstation 5 web page, from Unavailable, that was up until the 18th, straight to Out of stock, a few hours before midnight 19 Nov.Īnd the other removed the console's page altogether, although it was there up until the 18th, with the stock situation as Unavailable.Īnd on multiple smaller store's sites the console is Out of stock. US should be counting their blessings, even if the consoles were not enough on the 12th, they at least got a chance to buy one, and more are on the way it seems.
